Review: First use of a GPS
Took a Garmin Hand Held GPS out on the weekend to see what it was like across the Yorkshire Dales. Did 20 miles (so the GPS said!) and it plotted my location all the way very quickly and with excellent accuracy. I could save way points to come back to, and retrace my steps at various points. I had some map software installed and it worked well, though I still had a printed map handy. All in all a valuable addition to the rucksack!
